Vegan in the Green Belt: Where have I been?

What's this all about?

In early 2011, I decided I would give veganism a go. Years later, well versed in the scientific evidence for improved health, won over by many of the ethical arguments and delighted to be a stone lighter, I'm still vegan. I'm not even dead. Not even a little bit.

I do however, still like food. Veganism isn't, as I originally thought, all about weave-your-own hemp burgers and mung bean surprise. I like good food, and I like to enjoy it well made, well presented and with minimum hassle. That can be easy at home. Not always quite so easy when I'm out, but not the horror that some would think.

So, I am on a mission to seek out the places where I can enjoy vegan food in nice surroundings without having to resort to eating the menu itself.
